Deuteronomy 11:26-29 -Choose Ye This Day Who Will You Serve

Deuteronomy 11:26-29 -READ IT IN YOUR SPARE TIME-BLESSINGS AND CURSE! I KNOW THIS IS KINDA LONG, BUT ITS WORTH THE READING.

Moses was preparing the children of Israel for their journey to Canaan, the land of promise, the land that’s flowing with milk and honey.

The children of Israel was commanded to love the Lord thy God, andto serve him with all their heart, mind soul and strength. They were to walk in His ways and keep His commandments, His statues, and His judgments.

Israel had strong reasons to believe in God and obey his commandments. They had witnessed many miracles; the plagues of Egypt, the pillar of fire, the parting of the red sea, water from a rock, manna from heaven and victories in battle over their enemies and on and on. All the miracles which proved not only that God loved them, but that He was with them.

God through Moses, sums up all the arguments for obedience in two words; the blessing and the curse. In verse 26 God says to Israel, “behold I set before you a blessing and a curse; a blessing if ye obey and a curse if you disobey and turn aside to worship other gods which you have not known.

Many people today are doing what Israel had done in the past. They have failed to recognize how far they have drifted away from God.

If there ever was a time for the world to get a made up mind to follow God, the time is now. In verse 29 God says “and it shall come to pass when the Lord thy God hath brought thee in unto the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Gerizim and the curse upon mount Ebal.”

Today we are not not under the curse of the law, but under grace by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ. We are under the new covenant with the law upon our hearts.

God says to Israel and us today that He has called heaven and earth as witnesses against us that He has set before us life and death, blessing and a curse.

Which road will you travel on this journey called life? The time to decide is now. The road that leads to blessing or the road that lead to a curse? Which will it be for you on today? This is a personal question. Choose this day whom ye will serve.

The double mindedness under which so many people operate under will not be acceptable to God. James 1:8 says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

A double minded person has 2 ways of thinking, that essentially war with each other. Some people think I can come to church on Sunday and do all the things church people do and then tomorrow I can go out into the world and live as the world lives. That man is unstable, but guess what, he is not hopeless. A new life with Christ is awaiting him or her.

If you return to God, He would receive you as if you never left. It does not matter how far you have wandered from Him, He is merciful and He will receive you back unto Him.

BLESSINGS OR CURSE? MT? EBAL OR MT. GERIZIM? WHICH WILL YOU CHOOSE ON TODAY?

GOD BLESS AND TELL THE LORD THANK YOU FOR GIVING YOU DIVINE WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE THAT HAS HELPED YOU DETERMINED ON TODAY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHOOSING A BLESSING AND CHOOSING A CURSE.

GOOD MORNING GOD’S PEOPLE.

I love you all with the love of Christ.

CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHOM YE WILL SERVE!

GOD BLESS AND TELL THE LORD THANK YOU!

About Minister Aiken

I am a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I received my call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 16, 2003 and I was licensed as a Minister on Sunday, December 30, 2007. I am an Associate Minister, Sunday School Teacher for Adult # 1 Class, Instructor for New Members Class, Youth Church Teacher, Senior Missionary, and Blogger. I have worked in the medical field for 31 years. I am the wife of one husband whom I have been married to for the last 27 years. Out of this union came one son. I have always been an advocate of God's Word even prior to salvation. Now that I am saved, I have taken it to another level with the help of the Holy Spirit. I am what others call "Radicle for Christ!" Yes, I LOVE JESUS! I started sending out daily devotional messages over 12 years ago via email. In March of 2011 the Lord told me that it was time for the daily devotionals to be taken to the world wide web. I did not understand how nor belive that God could use me for such a task as this, but thanks be to God who knows all things. I obeyed God and the rest was history. This ministry has truly been a blessing to the heart and soul of many that are saved and unsaved. Many lives have been changed, energized, transformed, restored, refreshed, and clansed by the Power of the Holy Spirit through God's spoken words from His Bible. Romans 10:14-15 - How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15-And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Truly, this Ministry is a blessing from God to mankind everywhere. No great works has any man done that he or she should boast! "TELL THE LORD THANK YOU" is indeed the Lord's will for you and I. God truly is an "AWESOME WONDER!" I love Him!! He is my Lord and Savior!!! Romans 8:31- If God be for you, who could be against you? It was Christ who died for us. 1 Thessalonian 5;18-Give thanks in all things for this is the Lord will concerning you and I in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:33-But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.

  1. What an absolutely great message! Believers do have the power to choose whom we will serve and who we will listen to.for this day. Every problem in our lives has a purpose and a plan and a way to victory. Believers can’t be destroyed by the storms of this life. Choose to believe that God is always going to be greater than our problems

I enjoyed your reminder on this subject. God bless you, Debra. I will be back.

First of all thank you for being obedient to write this love instructional from God.
Thank you for providing this strategic and rhema word that has unleash the answer and given me a lifeline for my journey called LIFE. You had no idea that your obedience would unlock the lukewarm heart of a single mother who was on her last leg of the race about to give up. I know the scripture you chose to articulate with grace and fortitude was no mistake nor was it an accident. Your bold and apologetic description of God’s command to Love God with all of our heart and soul, was just the clarion call I needed to endure and receive for the next part of my personal walk with The Lord.

    • Amen Jmiller.

To God be all the glory.

Our God hears and answers our prayers. For scripture declares that the Lord hears the cry of the righteous.

We thank God on today for ordering our steps. We thank Him for leading us into all truth and righteousness in His Word.

God bless and thanks for stopping by and commenting.

      Debra
