Psalm 75:6-7 “Promotion Comes From God, Not Man”

Psalm 75:6 – For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. It is God who judges: He brings one down, He exalts another.

Promotion or Exaltation comes from God. The King James Version says that God is the Judge. God is the One who decides who gets promoted, when they get promoted, how they get promoted, and where they get promoted. Exaltation and promotion come from Him alone!

Promotion may come in many areas of life. It may come in ministry; it may come in marriage, favour in relationships or in business. What we must realize when it happens is that it came from God.

It is God that wants to lead His children in the pathway of promotion. He has a purpose and destiny for our lives and He wants us to enter into it. Often we may go through the path of trials and tribulations in order to be shaped and refined and prepared to enter into the destiny that God has prepared for us. God leads us through a process of shaking and discipline which can be painful at that times, but later it will prove to be the greatest thing that could have EVER happened to us. Why? Because it is the process that was needed to get us to OUR PROMOTION.

Many people want the promotion without the process. IT WON’T HAPPEN! THE ONLY WAY WE COULD AVOID THE PROCESS IS IF IT’S MAN THAT IS PROMOTING The painful reality about being promoted by man is that man operates according to his feelings. He will put you up today and cast you down tomorrow. If God promote you, He promotes you so that He could receive the Glory from our lives. If God is promoting you, you will experiences some pain, no doubt about it!

God has a plan for everyone of our lives. Now, it is up to us to determine if we are promoted into that plan or not. Our willful obedience to what God is trying to do in and through us determines if we are promoted or not. God wants to take us from where we are to where He wants us to be! He knows the outcome before He even begin!

Let’s listen to what God said to the prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:4–5 – The word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” In other word, God was declaring to Jeremiah, “I promoted you before you were born.”

Before Jeremiah was even born, God had a plan worked out for his life! If that was true for Jeremiah, do you think it’s true also for us? Yes, God foreknew us also and He has a plan for us too. It does not matter where we are in life, who we are, what our condition may currently be, God can and will promote us.

God had a plan for Abraham, Joseph, David, Job, Daniel and Jesus. None of these men were promoted without painful testing and trials.
Their promotion came by way of a painful process. You and I are no exception. No Pain, No Gain!

Promotion does not come from man, neither does it come without pain.

There are 2 tests that come before promotion. The test of Humility- Proverbs 15:33declares that The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. the 2nd is the test of Faithfulness. In Matthew 24:45, Jesus said that it is the faithful and wise servant who is made ruler over the house. In Matthew 25:21, Jesus said, “If you are faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.”

REMEMBER, TRUE PROMOTION ONLY COMES FROM GOD, NOT MAN!

GOD BLESS AND TELL THE LORD THANK YOU FOR HIS PLAN OF PROMOTION FOR YOUR LIFE THAT HE HAS ALREADY ORDAINED BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.

I LOVE YOU ALL WITH THE LOVE OF CHRIST!

DO REMEMBER TO TELL THE LORD THANK YOU FOR YOUR PROMOTION.

About Minister Aiken

I am a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I received my call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 16, 2003 and I was licensed as a Minister on Sunday, December 30, 2007. I am an Associate Minister, Sunday School Teacher for Adult # 1 Class, Instructor for New Members Class, Youth Church Teacher, Senior Missionary, and Blogger. I have worked in the medical field for 31 years. I am the wife of one husband whom I have been married to for the last 27 years. Out of this union came one son. I have always been an advocate of God's Word even prior to salvation. Now that I am saved, I have taken it to another level with the help of the Holy Spirit. I am what others call "Radicle for Christ!" Yes, I LOVE JESUS! I started sending out daily devotional messages over 12 years ago via email. In March of 2011 the Lord told me that it was time for the daily devotionals to be taken to the world wide web. I did not understand how nor belive that God could use me for such a task as this, but thanks be to God who knows all things. I obeyed God and the rest was history. This ministry has truly been a blessing to the heart and soul of many that are saved and unsaved. Many lives have been changed, energized, transformed, restored, refreshed, and clansed by the Power of the Holy Spirit through God's spoken words from His Bible. Romans 10:14-15 - How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15-And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Truly, this Ministry is a blessing from God to mankind everywhere. No great works has any man done that he or she should boast! "TELL THE LORD THANK YOU" is indeed the Lord's will for you and I. God truly is an "AWESOME WONDER!" I love Him!! He is my Lord and Savior!!! Romans 8:31- If God be for you, who could be against you? It was Christ who died for us. 1 Thessalonian 5;18-Give thanks in all things for this is the Lord will concerning you and I in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:33-But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.

  1. Excellent message, Debra! If people can only understand this truth that you wrote of, they would be better equipped to deal with the struggles in this world. Believers should know that their path has been ordained by God and that he alone makes it happen. It doesn’t matter where you are because it only matters where God is going to take you. If you have your eyes on Christ, you can’t fail. His plan will unfold in your life. He can cause the CEO of a large company to dream of you and hire you. Nothing is beyond his power. We just need to focus on God’s power and trust that he has a plan that cannot fail!

  3. Mark says:

When i First moved to Atlanta i had come from New York and had no contacts. I was living with my mother and i had my 4 year old son with me and i was really looking for a job and without applyig or even kowing about a job a company called my out of the blue adn i got a really great job. What i am so thankful about is that i really did not have to do anything he already done it for me i just had to keep my eyes on Him the way Peter did when i came out of the boat to walk on the water with the Lord as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus he was able to do supernatural things but as soon as he started to pay attention to the natural things around him he began to be like a regular human being who has thier eyes on the natural. Be tested by the Lord and show your self approved for promotion!!! Keep your eyes on Jesus and you will be like Jesus doing supernatural things like Peter walking on water, but only if your eyes are on him.
    Minister Mark.

Thank you for this. I Googled ‘promotion from God not man’ and this came up. I was trying to understand how someone who had been secretely sinning and it had not been exposed, could get promoted and re-appointed positions by men who dosen’t know of the sins. I couldn’t figure out how God allowed this and you cleared that up for me. Thank you.

I’ve read all these posts and has truely ministered to my heart. I just had an interview for this promotion that i really want. After so much preparing in advance i was hit with curveball questions i was not prepared for. At the end of the interview my flesh was trying to tell me that i blew my chances and i wasnt qualified. My peace was lost and had my head down. But reading these posts has reminded me, that it is not man that promotes but God. Thank you everyone

  9. Samiyyah says:

I was just talking to a friend of mine, tonight, about my hesitation for applying for a new job and she gave me an assignment; write 3 things that keep me from applying for the position and 3 things that i would tell myself if i was looking from the outside in (reality). In writing up the list i was also searching for scripture to go along with my 3 Realities and I came across this blog. It was sooo on point. I needed to be reminded that God is in complete control of my life and whats for me is for me in HIS timing. If HE’s done it before he will surely do it again.

Thank you for allowing HIM to use you in an extraordinary way. Truly a blessing.

    Peace and Blessings,

    Samiyyah W,
